At HomeChoice, CNA Appreciation Week is more than a celebration, it’s an opportunity to recognize the incredible people who make quality care possible every day. This year’s theme, “Stronger Together,” perfectly captured the spirit of our team and the impact we have on the lives of our clients and their families.

Throughout the week, we celebrated our caregivers, office staff, clients, and families who work together to provide exceptional Senior Care Services and In-Home Care for Seniors throughout our community. Every visit, every phone call, every helping hand, and every act of kindness contributes to helping seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent at home.

Kicking Off the Week with Appreciation

We started CNA Appreciation Week with a special appreciation breakfast, giving us an opportunity to gather, connect, and recognize the dedication of our care team members. As always, our caregivers demonstrated the teamwork and flexibility that allow us to meet the needs of our clients while supporting one another.

One of the highlights of the week was our “Because of You” recognition board. Caregivers and team members shared stories about the meaningful differences they make every day:

  • Because of you, a client started reading their favorite books again.
  • Because of you, a client regained interest in cooking.
  • Because of you, a family was able to witness a grandchild’s first steps.
  • Because of you, seniors and families received the Personalized Home Care Assistance they needed to remain safely at home.

These stories served as a powerful reminder that the work we do extends far beyond daily tasks. Through Companion Care, Respite Care, Dementia Care, and other Home Care Services, our caregivers help create moments that matter.

Investing in Growth and Learning

A major highlight of CNA Week was our well-attended in-service training presented by Dr. Joe Rattien, PT, from Physical Therapy 2 You.

Dr. Joe brought tremendous energy and expertise to the session, creating an engaging and interactive learning experience for our team. Using our skills lab, he partnered with Netta to demonstrate practical techniques for safely assisting clients with transfers and mobility.

Rather than simply discussing best practices, Dr. Joe and Netta provided hands-on demonstrations that allowed caregivers to see and practice safe transfer methods in real-world scenarios. The session offered valuable tips and tricks that caregivers can immediately apply while providing Senior Home Care and In Home Senior Care services.

Their presentation reinforced the importance of safety, confidence, and proper body mechanics for both clients and caregivers. Continuing education opportunities like this help ensure our team remains equipped to provide the highest level of Elderly Care Services possible.

Finishing the Week Strong

We wrapped up CNA Week with pizza, cake, and a chance to celebrate everything our team accomplished together.
