Welie, our Caregiver of the Month for October 2022, with one of our lovely clients.
Welie embodies our value of “teamwork”. She is always willing to take on any case and makes sure she is prepared to offer the same high level of care to any client she is assigned. She was chosen for this honor because she gives her all to our clients, is dependable, and is one of our “go-to” caregivers. Professionally she has been a licensed caregiver for 8 years but non-professionally she has been taking care of the elderly and children at her church for almost 20 years. Welie became a caregiver because she loves taking care of people. It brings her joy to make others smile and to help them forget whatever they may be worried about. Being a caregiver brings her peace
She loves working for HomeChoice because of the amount and variety of clients she is able to see. She also loves that HomeChoice really respects and cares for their caregivers. She doesn’t see the same amount of respect and loyalty at other agencies. It’s why she spends so much of her time with us.
Welie loves to dance with her clients. She enjoys seeing their smiling faces when she dances or dances with them. She will do anything they want to do that makes them smile and be happy
She hopes to move into nursing administration and while still being a caregiver.
She loves to spend time with her kids and talk to them about everything. She reads and prays a lot. Welie grew up around the church and was brought up helping others. Her father was a pastor so she always knew she wanted to help and bring others joy. She loves people who are trustworthy and tries to surround herself with those types of people.
