Congratulations to Joyce S., our Caregiver of the Month for March!

Joyce was chosen for this honor for her dedication, reliability, compassion, and positive attitude, and for all being an exemplary person and caregiver. Joyce was chosen as Caregiver of the Month because of her dedication and compassion for her clients, Joyce continuously goes above and beyond to ensure her client’s safety and well-being are of the highest importance.
She exemplifies all of our values on a daily basis:

“Can Do” Attitude – she is always willing to be flexible to her client’s needs even if there is a last-minute change of time, whether that means going in early or staying a bit late to ensure everything is taken care of for her clients. Joyce always goes the extra mile.

Solutions Oriented – Joyce works 7 days a week with her client, if she needs time off she gives us extended notice to ensure her client is covered and taken care of as needed.

Caring and Compassionate – Joyce’s client’s husband mentioned how much they appreciate Joyce and how wonderful it is to know she is with his wife in the afternoon, they are also appreciative of the care and compassion Joyce shows her client daily.

Teamwork – Joyce started a caregiver communication log in the home so that the AM caregiver and herself are able to communicate clearly and effectively for their shared client.

Do the Right Thing – Joyce has never called out last minute, she shows up for her client because she knows just how much of a difference she makes for her client and her client’s family.

Joyce has been with HomeChoice Home Care Solutions since 2006. She has been a CNA since 1981. When asked why she started in this field she said, “I felt like I had something to contribute. I love to help people.” Joyce loves working for HomeChoice because she enjoys the staff. She says, “The staff is great. They are always supportive of whatever I might need or situations that might come up. They always assist and support me. The whole atmosphere of the staff and their support.”

Joyce enjoys working with all of her clients. She especially likes to help them with their exercises and be able to do little games with them. The interaction she has with her clients and their families is something that Joyce really enjoys. Joyce hopes to work as long as she is able and to be able to retire and enjoy life. She wants to help however she can.
