Grace has spent the past seven years providing compassionate care to others, building on a lifetime of caring for family members before entering the professional caregiving field. Three years ago, while providing private-duty care for a client in their home, she earned her CNA license so she could continue serving others and grow her career in healthcare.
A Calling to Care
For Grace, caregiving has never been just a job, it has always been a calling.
She shares that helping others has always come naturally. While caring for one of her longtime private-duty clients, she realized she wanted to continue making a difference in the lives of seniors after that chapter came to an end. That desire inspired her to pursue her CNA license and continue providing exceptional senior care services to those who need them most.
Today, Grace brings that same heart for service to every client she cares for through HomeChoice.
Finding Joy in Every Client’s Journey
Grace believes the best caregiving begins with building meaningful relationships. She enjoys getting to know each client as an individual and tailoring her care to their interests, goals, and abilities.
One of her favorite memories is playing Connect Four with a client as a therapeutic exercise to strengthen his hand. What many might see as a simple game became an opportunity to encourage progress, celebrate accomplishments, and make rehabilitation enjoyable.
She also enjoys leading walking exercises and motivating clients as they work toward their personal goals. These moments exemplify the value of senior in-home care, supporting not only physical well-being but also confidence, independence, and emotional connection.
Growing Through Every Experience
Grace says one of the things she appreciates most about HomeChoice Home Care Solutions is the opportunity to work with a variety of clients based on her skills and availability. She enjoys that every day presents new opportunities to learn, solve problems, and continue growing as a caregiver.
Her future goals reflect that same commitment. Grace hopes to continue expanding her knowledge, embracing new challenges, and becoming the very best CNA she can be so she can provide the highest quality personalized home care to every client she serves.
Life Beyond Caregiving
Outside of work, Grace enjoys spending time with her Labrador Retriever, Ellie, who is a much-loved member of the family. She and her husband of 25 years enjoy spending time outdoors together, especially at the lake, hiking, and kayaking. She also loves trying new recipes, creating art, and making memories with family and friends.
Grace is also a proud mother to her 21-year-old daughter.
Most importantly, Grace says her faith is the foundation of her life.
“I’m a grateful believer in Jesus Christ. My faith is my greatest source of strength. It reminds me to treat every client with compassion, patience, and dignity, and to trust God with each day as it comes.”
That spirit of kindness, humility, and service is evident in every interaction she has with her clients. Whether she is providing in-home care for seniors, encouraging someone through therapy exercises, or simply offering a listening ear, Grace demonstrates what compassionate caregiving looks like.
