Edna G., our Caregiver of the Month for April 2024
Edna was chosen for this honor because of her commitment to her clients. She is always willing to go above and beyond for her clients and their families. She was chosen as Caregiver of the Month because she exhibits all of the HomeChoice values, but especially because she frequently does the right thing and is there for her clients.
When her client needed additional emergency coverage Edna dropped everything to be there for her client and their family. Edna was chosen because of her dedication to providing excellent care with compassion and kindness. She is also flexible with her clients and their needs and often displays a “Can-Do” attitude.
Edna has been with HomeChoice Home Care Solutions for almost two years. She has been a CNA for 19 years. When asked why she became a caregiver Edna said, “I have always had an affinity for caring for those around me. I love taking care of people and literally making life better and easier for those individuals and allowing them a sense of safety and independence.”
Edna loves working for HomeChoice Home Care Solutions because “The staff is so friendly and helpful, the support that is provided really solidifies that you all have our backs as caregivers and people.” When she is with her clients, Edna loves exercising, and walking with her clients if they are able. She also enjoys doing trivia with her clients to help them recall events, places, and people from their time of growing up.
She wants to keep learning and observing. She tries to learn something from everyone she meets In her spare time Edna enjoys painting, singing, and belly dancing!
