Congratulations to Mahoganny T., our Caregiver of the Month for October!
Mahoganny was chosen for this honor because of her dedication to her clients and willingness to be flexible to work with clients that specifically request her. Her current client’s family adjusted the schedule after moving their loved one into a facility to still accommodate for visits with Mahoganny. She was chosen as Caregiver of the Month because she exhibits all of the HomeChoice values, but especially because she is solutions oriented, has a “can do attitude”, and has a caring and compassionate nature. Since Mahoganny started she has been requested at every client she has visited. It only took about 2 weeks for her to settle in with one client and she is still assisting this client today.
Mahoganny has been with HomeChoice Home Care Solutions for almost a year. She has been in the caregiving field for 5 years. She chose caregiving because she provided a great deal of hands on care after after her grandmother had a stroke. She really enjoyed taking care of her and taking the initiative to care for someone else. Mahoganny also really enjoys meeting her clients’ family and having that personal experience.
Mahogany loves working for HomeChoice Home Care Solutions because she feels honored and acknowledged by our staff. She has worked for a lot of agencies and she says, “I can honestly say you guys really know how to appreciate your caregivers. Which is a really big thing for me because other agencies do not know the same value. You guys help us to feel the difference we make!”

Mahogany enjoys talking with her clients most. She says, “I love connecting and getting to know my clients and the life they lived before. I love hearing the stories and making my clients comfortable to open up, which absolutely means a lot to me.”
She wants to own her own home care agency someday so that she can continue to do this work. Mahoganny wants to reach out to other people who love this field as much as I do. When not working, she loves karaoke, hanging out with friends, and watching movies.
